Müllermusic – 35 Years of Experience in Event Technology
In 1976 company founder Karl-Heinz Müller made his dream come true and realized his idea of a mobile discotheque – and now is celebrating his 35th company anniversary as Managing Director of müllermusic.
On November 5, 1976 the history of "müller music" begins – Karl-Heinz Müller registers his „Mobile Discotheque” as a business. At that time, his own apartment serves as an office and storage area until the first office in Cologne-Mühlheim could be equipped. The One-Man-Enterprise is well promoted and has a successful start. Next to disco events, main focus of the business is given to fashion shows and exhibitions. In particular companies of the fashion industry, who partly count as loyal patrons of the company even today, belong to the first clients.
In 1983 "müller music" employed the first permanent employee. In the following years the team was steadily expanded, and order volume increased like a pyramid scheme. Productions became more complex and the demand for equipment and storage area increased accordingly.
In 1990 "müller music Show Technology Rental GmbH" moved to Cologne-Kalk. However, already after four years even the capacity of this space was not sufficient anymore.
Since August 1994 "müllermusic Event Technology GmbH" is based on the grounds of Brügelmann in Cologne-Deutz. From 1994 until today the storage area and the number of permanent employees have tripled. An expansion of the space has taken place in March 2002, and meanwhile around 3,500 m2 of working and storage area is available to the company.
Since 2006 "müllermusic Event Technology GmbH" is contractual partner of Cologne Exhibition Service GmbH (aka Koelnmesse) in the field of Event Technology (light, sound, video) and ceiling suspensions. The company has been well established in the Cologne area, and is permanent service partner of diverse event companies in Cologne, i.e. Tanzbrunnen or Gürzenich.
Since April 2010 Karl-Heinz Müller is supported by another Managing Director as well as five authorized signatories. Continuously they are promoting the expansion and restructuring of divisions. The 50-strong team that surrounds Karl-Heinz Müller is supplemented by around 150 freelance employees as required, and eleven trainees round off the number of staff. Since August 2011 "müllermusic Event Technology" is a GmbH & Co. KG.
