photokina 2010 // Biggest Photo Globe of the World
>> Big, Round, Impressive <<
The visitors of photokina were greeted with a special highlight this year. Because amidst a passage between hall 4 and 5 hung the biggest photo globe that the world had seen until then. With a diameter of 6 meters it was floating safely above the heads of 180,000 participants of the trade fair.
müllermusic hung it up.
Our duty was to install a save and visually appealing construction at the same time. We have solved the task by an inconspicuous ground support of Prolyte S 36V heavy duty components. The components which were built close to the walls did not affect the view on the globe and ensured the solid assembly of the studding.
On the right you can see a few impressions of the globe. Should you have further questions, please simply send an e-mail to our Project Leader Mr. Michael Grundmann.
About the Photo Globe:
photokina's Passage 4/5 featured an especially large project that gave visitors a view of a world in and of itself. "The world's largest photo globe" had a diameter of six meters and transfixed visitors from around the world as it "floated" above them. It was also one of the most frequently photographed exhibits at photokina 2010. The globe was the result of a joint project carried out by the Photographic Industry Association and its members Adobe Systems, CeWe Color, Epson, Fujifilm Imaging Germany, Hama, Kaiser Fototechnik, Kodak, Lowepro, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Samsung, Felix Schoeller, Sigma, and Sihl, as well as Prophoto GmbH and Koelnmesse.
